Germany's Essen Motor Show, which runs this week through December 7, is a European tuner showcase, and Volkswagen is taking the opportunity to show off a handful of modified cars. Among them are the Golf VI, Scirocco, Passat CC, Jetta and Polo, but a pair of them are grabbing the spotlight - the Scirocco and the Eos 'White Night'.

The Eos White Night features a monochromatic theme, with black and white exterior and interior treatment including a Candy White roof accented by black features such as the grille, side mirrors and edging on the convertible top. Inside the theme is carried forward via black Nappa leather with white piping. Under the hood lies a 3.2L V6 rated at 250hp (184kW).

The Scirocco Collector's Edition will be limited to 100 units, and also features the same high-contrast black-and-white theme. Bearing more white than its Eos counterpart, the Scirocco features an Oryx White exterior, xenon headlights, a panoramic sunroof and polished 19in alloy wheels. The interior is also clad in white, with a selection of premium options befitting a Collector's Edition car. The special-edition Scirocco is powered by a standard 200hp (147kW) 2.0L turbocharged engine and features a DSG dual-clutch gearbox.

Also on display are a range of aerodynamic upgrades for the new-generation Golf, Passat CC and Scirocco. The Golf gets a new pair of alloy rim choices in 17in and 18in sizes, a carbon-fiber-look B-pillar cover, and a full front, side and rear aero kit. The same basic package is available for both the Passat CC and Scirocco, and will be available via retail channels in early 2009 in Europe. The Jetta gets a new Premium trim option with stainless steel pedals and upgraded interior.
