Fresh from its claim that the 2011 Audi A1 will be the first true premium small car, Audi is on the Web today demonstrating its range of available colors, with a palette that highlights unique and unusual colors, such as Wasabi Green.

Like the ingredient itself, Wasabi Green is used sparingly to spice up the A1's design. Stitched along seams, and hinted in details, the new green color is a visual expression of the attention Audi is paying to every aspect of the A1's design and perception of quality.

The video below features color and trim designer Jana Bonkova describing the process and intent behind the color selections available. For more on the upcoming premium A1 minicar, check out our previous looks at the car's overall design parameters and details like the LED running lights.
