Set to make its world debut at next month’s 2007 New York Auto Show, the all-new Infiniti G37 has raised the bar for performance coupes and gives us a preview of what to expect for the all new Nissan GT-R. Packing a 3.7-liter V-6 with 330 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque, the new G comes with new features such as Variable Valve Event and Lift variable valve timing, an upgraded five-speed auto with paddle shifters, and a more-refined six-speed manual gearbox.

Other features include a 4-Wheel Active Steer system, large LED tail-lights, bi-xenon headlights, rear underbody air diffusers, a chrome-tip exhaust, and 18-inch wheels as standard. The coupe also comes with a sliding glass moonroof, heated mirrors and eight color options. Completing the mechanical package is a rear viscous limited-lip diff, four-wheel independent multi-link suspension constructed from aluminium, plus 14-inch brakes bit by four-piston callipers up front and 13.8-inch rotors with two-piston callipers in the rear.

Inside, customers will be treated with a 7-inch touchscreen navigation system, rear-view monitor and Bose-designed sound system with 11 speakers and a 9.3 GB hard drive. Seats come standard with leather with eight-way power adjustment. Opt for the more expensive Sport models and you get special 14-way adjustable sport-styled seats with thigh extensions and power adjustable torso and thigh bolsters for the driver, unique steering wheel stitching and high-grip aluminium pedals.
