The new design was created by Emre Husmen, a Transportation Design student from Italy’s famed Istituto Europeo di Design (IED), and could one day actually spawn a production model. Husmen claims to be in contact with an Italian coachbuilder over a deal to use one of his designs and that officials are gauging public perception of a number of his works including this latest 699 GTO.
The car is roughly the same size as Ferrari’s 599 but it would weigh around 200kg less because of full carbon-fiber construction. It would also output more than the Ferrari’s 6.0L V12 thanks to a twin supercharged V8 powerplant and be capable of running on biofuel. To protect the car from steep driveways or tricky reverse-parking maneuvers Husmen says the car would come with an adjustable hydraulic suspension system and rear camera.

Hmm, not very worthy of the name GTO. This design is just way too much! An overstyled monster!
I remeber the Vandenbrink GTO from some time ago. Now that was a true beauty!

And they are already building it on the 599 GTB!

Thanks all for you comments! ..and what a nice article! :)
If we get enough requests, hopefully the car will make it into production.. However, there will be huge refinements on the body design and every part will be re-engineered by our professionals. The model name and rear light design are likely to be changed to not to have problems with Ferrari. We will also launch its official website this year and reveal all the technical specs and price then.
Thanks again for your interest!

..by the way, the car will not be built on 599 chasis! It will be built on a completely new frame, so it will cost a lot less than other GTOs in the market.
Thanks!

YOU DONT SEE BILL FORD POSTING HERE :p
anyways; EH, really enticing for sure. If I'd be so bold as to suggest that another round of design study is done, perhaps a little less shapely and (don't take it the wrong way, but) less cartoony. the front spoiler is the one thing that really stands out as the sort of thing you wouldnt actually make THAT large. you know? every feature looks just a touch too much.
as far as a design study is concerned, it works though. its got everyone buzzing. make a final version a little more realistic while still being true to the design, and you have yourself a winner for sure.

im with Chris on this EH.....
Downplay the over indulgence on the flairing. I understand what you are trying to do with making it individualisitc, and as a designer its very hard to ensure that you have a new fresh shape that is your own style and not just a reinterpretation of someone elses hard work.
You are most deffo on the right track with the design, but hold true to the mantra "Less is More" ...... in this case not too much less otherwise we will just end up with another vanilla aspiring sports car.
All the best with the project.

Woah! turn down the extremeness on the front. Actually turn down the extremeness of the entire car. A toned down design would look much better than this. The current design has my eyes a little confused. But I can see the potential
