Other purchases at the auction included a 1938 Cadillac 90 Series Town Car previously used by Pope Pius XII for $250,000, a 1941 Packard Super 8 Lebaron limousine that was used to transport FDR and Harry Truman for $290,000 and the pièce de résistance, $350,000 spent on the Batmobile used in the 1995 Batman Forever movie.Among his collection is a '75 Ford Escort owned previously by John Paul II, which he purchased last year for $690,000.The money paid for the celebrity-signed Gallardo was donated to the Child Safety Network charity.
