As the completion date for the all-electric roadster draws near Tesla has released a gallery of new images showing the completed interior and driving shots. Last we heard, developers were doing final testing on a near production prototype and had set several specific targets for the car. The official driving range has been downgraded to 200 miles, although it’s been tested to 250 miles, and the claimed acceleration time for the 0-60mph stands at four seconds flat.

I wonder, will it get to that 200 mile range if you have the a/c running and the stereo on? What about for the power steering and hydraulics? Also its not like you could take this thing on road trips, I doubt there's a charging station off the highway you can sit at for 8 hours or however long it take to charge. I think this is a really cool concept which makes it a great toy for those with deep pockets. Kudos to Tesla for finally putting it into production though and it does seem like a step in the right direction.

It would be a fun toy, but until it can be charged quickly, that's all it will ever be...
