Next up is the Fusion SE at $20,545, which gets bigger 17in alloy wheels and a six-speaker stereo with Sirius Satellite Radio. Optional features include an E85-capable 3.0L V6 and Ford’s latest Sync 2.0.

Mid-range is the Fusion SEL at $23,975. This model comes standard with a 2.5L four-cylinder and six-speed automatic transmission. Other features include Sync 2.0, a seven color lighting system, leather wrapped steering wheel, heated leather seats, automatic headlights, keyless entry pad, and 17in alloys. Optional goodies include a reverse-sensing system, AWD, GPS navigation, and a premium Sony sound system.

Next in the line is the Fusion Sport at $25,825. This model comes standard with a 3.5L V6 and six-speed automatic transmission, Sync 2.0, leather seats, 18in alloys and a dual exhaust system. Optional features include AWD, GPS navigation and the Sony sound system.

I'm hoping to buy a new car in a year or two and I've gotta say this new Fusion is at the top of the list. I like the sport with all wheel drive. One question though......the article says you can get AWD as an option with the hybrid, really? I would be impressed if this was true but I have a feeling they just generalized the options list after every model.

john, remember it isnt some all time AWD like audi.. its a much lighter system.. only adding about 100 lbs if i remember correctly.. so it wouldnt be very surprising if they actually offered it on the hybrid. just cause you have a hybrid doesnt mean you wont run into grip issues..

Give me the opportunity to plug in and at least 20 miles range, and you have a customer. Toyota's RAV-4's have been on the road for more than 10 years with over 150000 miles and still going. This is not a new technology,so it seems to me,your still not commited to let loose of your oil buddies,so get your billions from Exxon and the rest of them.
