This particular car has 38,614 miles on the odometer and is currently stored in Houston, Texas. According to its seller, no two Eleanors from the movie were alike because the cars needed to be set-up differently to do different maneuvers for filming.
The cars in the movie weren’t original Shelbys but replica versions based on modified Mustang fastbacks. Furthermore, while the car in the movie is supposed to be a ‘four-on-the-floor’ manual the show cars in fact featured automatic transmissions to make it easier for stunt drivers. Those cars are cool, and when you see and hear one on the screen or in person, it gives you the chills.
But - I am enough of a realist that I would want crumple zones, airbags, deformable interiors, etc...

True, beautiful but dangerous car (I know it probably has reinforced safety cage, but that's still far from safe).
Few years ago I came very close to importing an old '67 V8 Mustang (one of the coolest cars next to Stingray Vette), but I changed my mind when I learned more about safety of those cars... :)

This is at Lamborghini Houston. I went and checked it out for a friend. It's in mint condition except for a small crack on the front bumper about the size of a quarter. It probably could be fixed very easily. Oh... and FYI they said they weren't taking offers lower than $380,000
