Upon receiving the fine in the mail, Alfa Romeo forwarded it on to Clarkson who then called upon celebrity lawyer Nick Freeman. According to Freeman, Alfa Romeo “did not have any information as to who the driver was. They only had information as to who the car was loaned to. The form wasn't completed correctly."
The case was eventually dropped and Clarkson, who wasn’t present at the hearing, ended up being awarded costs for his legal fees.

Pardon me, but I find this pathetic.
I love Top Gear, but this is really stupid.
Clarkson is loaded with money and he uses some legal action to dodge a speeding charge.... haha

It's not about the money, it's the fact that so far, he doesn't have a single speeding violation to his name, despite being a speed-freak.
I think this was all about saving that image. Good on'ya, mate!
