The Camaro convertible has finally been let out of the cage after months of speculation and rumours that it would be unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show. Now that the new Camaro is almost old news, GM needed something to keep the interest alive, and the convertible version will do just fine, thanks.
The Convertible concept will come with the same V8 engine, interior, brakes, transmission, and suspension as the coupe – it’s essentially just the coupe with the roof chopped off. We hope the production version gets a little more thought into it.

Jeez, the one thing that turns me off from the Mustang convertibles seems to be lacking from this car as well. Forgive me for liking my head where it is, but would pop-up rollover protection really be that difficult to include? I mean if the VW golf cabrio has them they can't cost more than the car, can they?
