A year after the launch of the original 2-Eleven track special at last year’s Geneva Motor Show Lotus has introduced a new entry level 2-Eleven plus an extensive range of Lotus Sport performance options. The latest Lotus 2-Eleven features the same 189hp (141kW) naturally aspirated engine from the Elise R (the existing car sports a 252hp engine) and tips the scales at only 720kg. Even in this basic specification the car can sprint to 60mph in just 4.3 seconds and reach a top speed of 140mph.
Options include two different limited slip differentials, an FIA approved 70L bag fuel tank and a removable competition steering wheel. It also is available with a carbon fiber tonneau cover, four piston front brakes and either an ‘Aero’ or ‘Sport’ accessories pack. The Aero pack consists of an adjustable carbon fiber rear wing and a lengthened composite front splitter. The Sport Pack adds Ohlins two-way adjustable dampers.
The entry-level model is priced from €34,695 (excluding taxes), whereas the previous car cost upwards of €49,573.

I could be wrong, but honestly I think someone who can pay €34,695 for a dedicated track car most likely can pay €49,573 for it to begin with…. again I could be wrong.
