Avis has joined its main rival Hertz by offering to rent one of the world’s most loved sports cars, the Chevrolet Corvette. However, before you start searching for Avis’ phone number the rental company is only offering the car in Arizona, California, Florida and Las Vegas.

Driving the car for a day will set you back for $164.99 but this gets you behind the wheel of a brand new 2008 model Corvette with a 430hp LS3 6.2L V8 engine churning out 575 Nm of torque. The car is equipped with keyless ignition and an engine starter button mounted on the dash, and both convertible and coupe models are available, reports AutoWeek.

If you don’t live in one of the states Avis is offering the Corvette in, you will have to settle for one of the more basic ‘Cool Collection’ models, which include the Cadillac CTS, Hummer H3 and Toyota Prius. Of course you could also head over to Hertz, which also offers a Shelby Mustang GTH.

Toyota Prius is in Cool Collection? :)

165$ is really cheap for a car like that. I might try it when visiting US next time.

I was expecting it to be much more expensive than that.
But I will bet you that you have to take all the insurance, and sign all sorts of disclaimers.
