Zele reveals pricing for Infiniti G37 Gran Turismo edition Art imitates life, they say, though with video games getting so lifelike they look like playable movies, it's getting harder to tell which is life and which is art. Zele International has added to the confusion, showing off a new Gran Turismo edition body kit for the Infiniti G37, or Nissan Skyline Coupe as it's called in Japan, taken straight from the screens of Gran Turismo 5.

The striking kit crosses the pixel-reality border surprisingly well, though the currency conversion isn't friendly: pricing in Japan starts out at ¥382,600 ($4,160) for the full kit. What comes in the kit? A grille, front and rear bumpers, a side skirt set, rear diffuser, and a wing - all in carbon fiber. The 20in Rays wheels seen in the picture are apparently priced separately. Pricing so far is Japan-only, though, and the company hasn't said if it will be selling to overseas customers, or if they'll have to pay a price premium. The Gran Turismo G37 itself was originally designed by Polyphony Digital, the Sony-owned video game development company that has done the entire blockbuster Gran Turismo video game series. Heavy with carbon fiber and titanium, the list is - as the car's name suggests - a complete replacement of the main aerodynamic and performance elements of the car. Starting with the body kit, Zele has upgraded the 370Z Complete Edition to include: a new front aero bumper; carbon fiber front lip spoiler; redesigned rear bumper and side skirts; and a carbon fiber rear spoiler, B-pillar covers, radiator shroud and mirror covers. Titanium elements include a new shift knob, strut tower brace and a 'Type 2' muffler. The car's suspension is upgraded with an Aragosta kit and new brakes provide even more fade-resistant stopping power. RAYS Volk Racing TE37G2 alloy wheels finish off the exterior treatment with some lightweight and attractive equipment from one of the most prized makers of racing wheels. Inside, the car gets a pair of Recaro bucket seats upholstered with Alcantara. The Tokyo Auto Salon is a tuner event, similar to the SEMA Auto Show in Las Vegas, and traditionally features a range of highly modified cars from all facets of the industry, including major carmakers, established tuners, and small start-ups. Zele also showed a preview of its Complete Edition GT-R at SEMA a few weeks back, and finally revealed it at the salon a week ago. Now that Zele's complete edition is out in the wild, armchair tuners the world over will be arguing its superiority or inferiority to Nissan's own Nismo-enhanced 370Z, which you can read about here. The final details on Zele International's carbon-fiber bodykit and power enhancement for the Nissan GT-R have been released, with the tuning firm announcing that it plans to start taking orders for the completed car globally at the end of March. On display at this weekend’s 2009 Tokyo AutoSalon, it will be Zele’s first complete car and will thus be known as the Zele R35 GT-R ‘Complete Edition'. Just eight customers will be able to get the complete car from Zele, while others will have to order individual parts from the tuner’s website. This exclusivity means pricing won’t be cheap, with the basic car listed at ¥18,880,000 (approximately $205,938). This exceeds Nissan’s own GT-R SpecV, which is listed at ¥15,750,000 ($171,781) and is already almost double the price of the standard GT-R. On the outside, the Zele GT-R comes with a custom paintjob, a dry carbon-fiber front aero bumper, carbon-fiber side mirrors, a carbon-fiber roof and a carbon-fiber rear spoiler. These parts will be exclusive for the Zele Complete Edition. Other enhancements include carbon-fiber side skirts, a carbon fiber rear under spoiler, a carbon-fiber bonnet with NACA ducts, and carbon fiber front fender ducts. On top of all this, there will also be a new front grille, a new intake cover and a new radiator shroud, all made from carbon-fiber. In terms of performance mods, the ECU for the GT-R will be upgraded to produce around 550hp (410kW). Additionally, a titanium muffler and rear differential oil cooler will be available as a package, while custom Zele alloy-wheels will be optional. Finally, upgraded brakes, Recaro bucket seats swathed in Alcantara and a height-adjustable suspension conversion kit top off the mods list. The entire package comes with a 20,000km warranty and can be ordered in both U.S. spec LHD models and European spec LHD models.Zele carbon kit for the Nissan GT-R Read More

14 R35 Nissan GT-Rs on the SEMA show floor American carmakers are putting a heavy emphasis on the 2008 SEMA show starting in Las Vegas today. Bringing a dozen or more cars and trucks of varying types, companies such as Ford and GM will have plenty to see, but neither will have the single-model impact that Nissan will make with its fleet of 14 R35 GT-Rs - all but one a fully customized special edition.

That one exception is a completely stock car being exhibited by Nissan, but the remaining thirteen are complexes of carbon fiber, unique paint jobs and huge alloy wheels. We've already covered several of these cars independently, so we'll hit the highlights of the lesser-known models... American carmakers are putting a heavy emphasis on the 2008 SEMA show starting in Las Vegas today. We've already covered several of these cars independently, so we'll hit the highlights of the lesser-known models in this roundup. Status Racing fit a full body kit and rear underspoiler to the car, plus a few JDM touches like clear side markers. HRE 20" C90 competition wheels on Toyo tires plus a Top Secret suspension kit give the car even more handling potential. To give the interior a unique feel, the headliner is replaced with black alcantara. Next up is the Mobil1 GT-R, wearing a custom 'Midnight Purple' paint job that shifts colors depending on the light source and viewing angle. The car also features a wide array of performance and appearance modifications, including a front fascia, side skirts, grill, rear diffuser and front fender ducts all made of carbon fiber, plus an Amuse dry carbon Hi-Mount rear wing. The engine gets Amuse products from the turbo back, a Cobb Accesport ECU tuning, HKS blow-off valve and a carbon fiber radiator shroud from Zele. To keep things handling and stopping as well as it goes, the tuners added an Amuse suspension, Endless Mono-6 racing brakes at front and rear, plus BBK LM-DBK 20" wheels on Toyo Proxes R888 tires. Inside the car gets carbon fiber/kevlar racing seats and Takata harnesses. The Haltech GT-R focuses on its Platinum series ECU, due for release in about a month, which allows full modification while preserving many stock features such as cruise control. Custom Rays TE37 wheels and graphics give the car a clean look. Seibon, a carbon fiber parts specialist, also put their hand to the GT-R, fitting all the lightweight carbon they could to the car, including a custom hood, trunk lid, sideskirts, front lip and front bar. Custom black wheels and graphics across the hipline help mark the car out from the crowd as well. Perrin Racing and Hankook Tires are two of the remaining sponsors of custom GT-Rs at the show, but so far little has been revealed about the cars except that they feature custom wheels, body kits and a few other touches. Axis Sport Tuning's car adds a Cobb Accesport tune and Password:JDM's full carbon fiber parts catalog to the recipe. GFG brought two cars, each featuring plus-sized (21" and 22") wheels with huge Continental tires, but otherwise stock cars, to show of the Giovanna and Gianelle wheels. Cars from Toyo Tires, Vivid Racing, Mines and Zele will also be on the floor. Via: GTR-WorldFourteen Nissan GT-Rs at SEMA 2008 Read More
