Now, a new tuner by the name of Revere London is trying to get in on the luxury tuning action, and to prove that it can take on the already established houses it has just unveiled its first project - a heavily modified Range Rover Sport. A number of modifications are available for the Range Rover Sport, including an aggressive new bodykit that gives the SUV some edge over the standard model. Up front, there is a custom Revere London front bumper that gives the appearance that the vehicle is sitting lower to the ground. There is also a new front grille, as well as color-coded side vents. At the rear, a custom bumper with tailpipe box replacements is also available. Other cosmetic modifications offered are varying and comprehensive - for example, customers can choose to have the door handles color-matched with the rest of the body, or have the 'Range Rover' letters themselves painted or removed completely. In terms of engine upgrades, there are a number of options available depending on what engine is in the particular model. ECU reprogramming for the range-topping 4.2L Supercharged V8 engine results in a lift to power of 410hp (305kW), and coupled with custom exhaust kits, upgraded Brembo brakes and new suspension components the Revere London Range Rover Sport should prove to be a little more fun than the standard model. Also part of the 2010 model year facelift is the introduction of a 375hp (280kW) naturally aspirated version with 375lb-ft (507Nm) of torque. Both engines were developed in-house by the Jaguar Land Rover powertrain team, and also appears in the recently updated Jaguar XF and XK range. The performance of the all-new naturally aspirated LR-V8 is now a virtual-match for the outgoing 4.2L supercharged engine. The naturally aspirated model completes the 0-60mph sprint in 7.2 seconds (just 0.1 seconds off the pace of the outgoing supercharged unit), while the supercharged version is propelled from rest to 60mph in just 5.9 seconds. But a power hike isn’t the end of the story. Land Rover engineers have also put the Range Rover Sport through a comprehensive program of chassis system modifications to improve on-road dynamics while preserving the vehicle’s off-road capabilities. This includes the new ‘Adaptive Dynamics’ suspension management system, and the addition of the road-focused ‘Dynamic’ mode for improved agility and ride quality. The SUV’s body has also been updated to provide a cleaner, more sculpted feel. New LED-detailed headlamps combine with a new two-bar grille, front bumpers and fenders to create a more sporting and aerodynamic stance. At the rear, new light clusters and a revised bumper design mirror the smoother front-end. The interior has also been redesigned, with higher quality materials and soft-touch finishes improving comfort levels.2010-Range-Rover-Sport Read More

This is the same unit that recently debuted in the all-new Jaguar XFR, although the Range Rover Sport will likely miss out on the supercharger as well as the 510hp (380kW) output. Another possibility is the introduction of a V6 twin-turbo diesel, likely to be the new 3.0L unit used by Jaguar for its XF Diesel S. The commonrail turbodiesel V6 engine is rated at 271hp (202kW) and 443lb-ft (600Nm) of torque. In addition to the engine upgrade, the new Sport will also receive a slightly revised face including a new grille design that’s reminiscent of the Land Rover Freelander/LR2 as well as a new front bumper.
