From headliner material and color to boot liner, the entire car's appearance is up for grabs. Once you're done building your dream Italia, you can guesstimate its price thanks to a leaked document revealed today. Though the prices are in Euros, we can get a feel for what the U.S. pricing will be like when the Italia is finally released for retail here. Starting at 162,900 euros or 149,246 British pounds--not counting VAT--the Italia sits at the upper end of the price range of the current F430. Here in the U.S., that's likely to translate to about $185,000-$200,000, meaning we still get a substantial discount on this side of the Atlantic. No complaints here. Updated 2010 Lexus ES 350 Revealed, Priced

With the economy still in the tank despite ruminations on an improvement, many car buyers are looking to mid-range and entry-level luxury cars where they might have been eying top-tier cars just a few years ago. The benchmark in the category has long been the Lexus ES 350, and though 2010 brings a few new competitors, Lexus is keeping pace with updated styling and features.

The 2010 Lexus ES 350 will have to take on the brand-new 2010 Buick LaCrosse and the 2010 Lincoln MKX in addition to the usual suspects, such as the 2010 Infiniti G37. That means that Lexus, while starting from a lead in the category, can't rest on its laurels.

And it's certainly not, with a revised front fascia and tail lights, upgraded console and interior trim options, and the addition of Lexus's new Enform and Safety Connect telematics system. Despite the added features, price creep is kept to a minimum at just $330 over the 2009 model, with the 2010 ES 350 starting from $34,800 plus a delivery fee of $875, for a total base price of $35,675. The powertrain remains the same with a 3.5-liter V-6 engine rated at 272 horsepower and 254 pound-feet of torque. A six-speed automatic transmission sends the drive to the road, and features manual shift capability. On the outside, the ES 350 gets new side mirrors with integrated turn signals, a reworked grille surround and grille insert, chrome body molding, and the addition of rain-sensing wipers for 2010. The rest of the front fascia is restyled as well, as are the standard 17-inch alloy wheels, which now use a split five-spoke design. Four new exterior colors expand the range of looks, with Truffle Mica, Peridot Mica, Satin Cashmere Metallic and Cerulean Blue Metallic joining the palette, while five other colors were removed for 2010. Interior revisions include new steering wheel controls, a memory-position driver's seat and new trim choices. The reworked center console offers greater storage volume and the standard leather-trimmed seating is available in a total of three colors, with a new Parchment color replacing last year's Cashmere. Brown walnut takes the place of Medium Brown walnut wood trim, and Espresso Bird's Eye Maple expands the trim selection. Lexus's Eco Drive indicator is now a standard feature, as are rear coat hooks and a total of 10 standard airbags, with rear side airbags new for 2010. Technology being the fast-paced field it is, the 2010 ES 350 gets an updated Lexus Premium Audio system with the new hard-disk navigation system also found in the 2010 GS and LS updates, a casual-speech voice recognition feature in Lexus Navigation System models, and all the standard Bluetooth, MP3, USB and auxiliary connectivity you're used to. The subscription-based Enform with Safety Connect system is now available on the 2010 ES, but only standalone Safety Connect is included in all new ES 350s as standard beyond the one-year trial subscription to the Enform with Safey Connect service. That hasn’t stopped the company from increasing prices on most of its core models for 2010, with prices announced today revealing hikes from between 0.7 and 1.8%. The affected models include the IS 250 and IS 350 sedans, IS 250 C and IS 350C convertibles, IS F high...

Supercharged 2010 Audi S4 Sedan Starts From $45,900

Price cuts are the name of the game this year as carmakers fight to keep or gain market share in a highly compressed sales atmosphere. Audi in particular is fighting hard to remain competitive, today releasing pricing for the 2010 S4, A5 Cabrio and S5 Cabrio.

The S4 gets a major price drop, going from a base price of over $57,000 to the 2010 model's starting price of $45,900. Audi says it has repositioned the car "to be more attainable without compromises in performance or features." The huge price gap is thanks in part to the substitution of a supercharged V-6 for the 4.2-liter V-8 found in the old model.

Audi says it has repositioned the car "to be more attainable without compromises in performance or features." The huge price gap is thanks in part to the substitution of a supercharged V-6 for the 4.2-liter V-8 found in the old model. It's certainly been repositioned, and with the updated third-gen MMI interface, SIRIUS traffic information for the nav system and voice-based input features, Audi makes a strong argument for features, too. It will need all it can muster, however, since it's now going heads-up against the highly successful and very competent BMW 335i. Rated at 333 horsepower and 325 pound-feet of torque, the S4's 3.0-liter supercharged V-6 engine is right on par for the segment, letting it dash to 60 mph in just 4.9 seconds. The supercharger also lets the S4 move around with increased efficiency, snagging 18 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway, a major improvement over the 2008 model's V8 engine, rated at 13/20 mpg. Pricing for the S tronic S4 sedan starts at $47,300. The new S4 will be available in the U.S. at the end of August. Also priced today, the Audi A5 Cabrio starts at $42,000 for the manual-equipped front-wheel-drive version or $44,100 for the Tiptronic quattro. The sportier S5 Cabrio is only available with the S tronic transmission and starts from $58,250. Audi's introduction of the A5 and S5 Cabrios marks the replacement of the A4 and S4 Cabrios, and an expansion of the U.S. A5 lineup. The A5 Cabrio will be available in the U.S. sometime this fall, but the S5 cabrio will join the S4 Stateside in late August. [Audi] Read More

The 2010 Audi R8 V10 starts at $146,000 for the manual-equipped version, while the dual-clutch R tronic transmission bumps the price to $155,100. That's a considerably better bargain than the first R8 V10 sold in the U.S., which went for $500,000 at auction back in February. A second also sold for $350,000.

To be fair, however, the money from those cars went to charity. The winning bidders, Tom Gonzales and George and Sue Levin, took possession of their new R8 V10s today as well. "Plenty of people have been waiting to get behind the wheel of these remarkable sports cars, so it’s great to give these generous donors – Mr. Gonzales and the Levins – the first opportunities to enjoy the Audi R8 V10 experience," said Jon Kolody, Area Sales Manager, Audi of America. Shipment of the rest of the R8 V10 fleet will begin now that the first buyers have their cars. The standard R8 with the 4.2L V8 engine starts from $114,200 this year, with the R tronic raising the price by the same $9,100 interval to $123,300. With the addition of the V10 engine, Audi moves the R8's performance into the supercar category, with 0-60mph ticking past in 3.7 seconds - a hair quicker than the 638hp Corvette ZR1.
