  • Novitec Rosso releases new photos of 696hp tuned Ferrari 430 Scuderia 16M

Novitec Rosso releases new photos of 696hp tuned Ferrari 430 Scuderia 16M Last year we reported on Italian tuning house Novitec Rosso and its work with Ferrari's extreme 430 Scuderia. In March Novitec followed Ferrari's reveal of the convertible version of the supercar known as the '16M', with its own, pumped up version, and today the company released a number of new, high-res photos of the car.

Similar to its work with the hard-top, the engineers at Novitec Russo have bolted on a couple of superchargers to the car’s 4.3L V8 engine. In the hard-top, the final power output was rated at 717hp (535kW), up from the standard car's 510hp (380kW). This time, with the 430 Scuderia 16M convertible, the power of the... Similar to its work with the hard-top, the engineers at Novitec Russo have bolted on a couple of superchargers to the car’s 4.3L V8 engine. In the hard-top, the final power output was rated at 717hp (535kW), up from the standard car's 510hp (380kW). This time, with the 430 Scuderia 16M convertible, the power of the superchargers has been dialed down a bit but the car still manages a healthy 696hp (519kW). While the standard 16M will demolish the sprint to 62mph in just 3.7 seconds and go on to a top speed of 196mph, there's little doubt that all the additional horsepower will help push the Novitec Rosso Scuderia Spider 16M well beyond the 200mph mark, and possibly even come close to the tuned hard-top which tops out at 215mph. Increasing the power output by almost 200hp (147kW) also meant that certain other modifications had to be made. Novitec Rosso chose to modify the suspension, fitting a hydraulic coil-over system that allows the nose of the car to be lifted 40mm. This will undoubtedly help owners navigate urban obstacles such as speed bumps and driveways, as the lift is activated simply by pushing a button from the cabin. For the exterior, the custom Scuderia 16M is accented by 20in forged wheels wrapped with high-performance Pirelli tires. At the rear, Novitec's trademark black tail lights replace the traditional Ferrari-red, while a custom LED strip has also been added as an additional brake light.Ferrari F430 Scuderia Spider 16MFerrari F430 Scuderia 16M by Novitec Rosso Read More

Alfa Romeo's new MiTo is hardly a performance powerhouse, with the current range-topping model in the lineup boasting a diminutive 1.4L turbo engine until the performance-focused GTA arrives. Thankfully, German tuner Novitec Rosso is remedying the situation with a number of upgrades for the stylish hatch, with a focus on both performance and handling upgrades, as well as some aerodynamic mods. Novitec is offering engine tuning for the two diesel models and the petrol-powered 1.4L turbo in the lineup. For the range-topping 1.4L engine, Novitec can install an auxiliary control unit in around 5 minutes, resulting in an almost instantaneous 31hp (23kW) boost. This extra power gives the 1.4L MiTo a final power output of 186hp (134kW), enough to push the car to 62mph in just 7.4 seconds, or around 0.7 seconds quicker than the standard model. For the two turbodiesels, a similar control unit is installed that boosts power by 20hp (15kW) for the 1.3L JTD model and by 24hp (18kW) for the MiTo 1.6L JTD, as well as increasing torque figures by close to 37lb-ft (50Nm). Additionally, a new height-adjustable coil-over suspension with adjustable dampers is also available, along with sport springs that can lower the car significantly. This results in improved handling and greater acceleration for the MiTo. Accompanying the handling upgrades is a new look for the MiTo brought about by an aerodynamic enhancement kit. The front of the car gets a facelift thanks to the spoiler corners on the left and right, as well as the centrally mounted cup spoiler. At the back, rocker panels make the car appear lower, while a roof spoiler and a rear diffuser both help to improve downforce. The rear diffuser surrounds the new Novitec sports muffler, which yields a more exciting growl when the engine is wound up, and the system can be combined with one, two, or four tailpipes. New Novitec alloy wheels top off the package, and high-performance Pirelli tires ensure the car should stay glued to the road.Novitec Rosso Alfa Romeo MiTo Read More

Limited to just 11 examples, the Calavera (Spanish for Skull) is based around a highly modified F430 with unique airbrushing done by artist Knud Tiroch. Tiroch is one of the best in the business, previously being commissioned by David Coulthard, ZZ Top, Arnold Schwarzenegger and many more. Unique Sportcars, on the other hand, develops exclusive designs for customers wanting more than off-the-shelf. Some of the unique elements of the Calavera are the LED daytime running lights, engine dress-up kit, embroidered seats and an extended middle console. Novitec Rosso has been left with the task of boosting output of the F430’s high-revving 4.3L V8 engine. To accomplish this task, the tuner has added its now familiar twin-supercharging system, which in its latest evolution outputs 707hp (522kW) and 525lb-ft (712Nm) of torque and promises 0-100km/h times of just 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 348km/h. Other modifications include subtle aero pieces, new 20in alloy wheels, uprated brakes, stiffer suspension (lowering the car by 35mm) and a sports exhaust system. Unique Sportcars is taking orders for the cars now, and customers will have to wait roughly three months for their completeed cars once commissioned.Calavera Ferrari F430 by Unique Sportcars and Novitec Rosso Read More

When it comes to the world’s most exclusive sports cars, names like Ferrari and Lamborghini often spring to mind. However, there is a higher echelon when it comes to the most fascinating vehicles money can buy – a world where stunning design, uncompromising performance and production volumes you can count on your hands is only the basic criteria for entry. Cars like the upcoming TuLesto from German tuner Novitec Rosso is a perfect representation of the type of cars found in this exclusive world. The latest supercar is the first complete car offered by Novitec Rosso, which started the project as part of its celebrations for its 20th anniversary. The mid-engine TuLesto is 204cm wide and weighs in at just 1,260kg. Power comes from a twin-supercharged 4.4L V8 engine rated at 777hp (580kW) and combined with the light kerb weight offers a power-to-weight ratio of just 1.62kg/hp. Peak torque stands at 536lb-ft (727Nm). Power transfer is taken care of with a six-speed semi-automatic gearbox with an integrated anti-slip differential and carbon-fiber paddles behind the steering wheel. Light-weight construction was one of the main goals from the very start of the project. The designers' materials of choice are normally found in race cars. The chassis and the integrated safety cell, for example, are made entirely from aluminum, making them extremely light while at the same time giving them extraordinary rigidity. The result is driving performance that only very few super sports cars can match: the sprint from rest to 100km/h, according to Novitec Rosso, takes less than 3.4 seconds, and top speed is estimated at more than 350km/h. While the lines of the car share a striking similarity with those of Ferrari’s F430, the TuLesto has been designed from the ground up. The design is the result of cooperation between Novitec Rosso and Italian design studio Luca Serafini Stile in Modena. The car stretches 462cm in length, 204cm across and has a height of 122cm. Inside, the race car theme continues, with plenty of carbon-fiber and aluminum used for trim. A number of creature comforts are also present, including a climate-control system and a high-end sound system. Expect more details to come as the project is still in development. This is 188hp (138kW) and 159lb-ft (215Nm) of torque more than the stock 599. In combination with the F1-Superfast transmission, the tuned 599 will sprint from rest to 100km/h in just 3.5 seconds, pass 200km/h after 9.7 seconds and reach 300km/h after 25.5 seconds. A belt-driven twin-supercharging system is bolted to the engine, producing a relatively mild peak boost pressure of 5.65psi. The compressed air is then cooled down to a level conducive for added power by a large intercooler cooled by a dedicated water cycle. A specially designed intake manifold with high-performance injectors and a sports air filter round out the conversion on the intake side. Other powertrain mods include custom exhaust manifolds, a 90mm diameter stainless-steel quad exhaust system, and a retuned ECU. The aero kit consists of a new front lip, side skirts with larger air intake openings, side flaps, a new rear wing and bumper with an integrated diffuser. The car also gets new 20in wheels at the front with larger 21in alloys at the rear and 355mm Pirelli P Zeros.
