By now we've all probably heard of Project Kahn, a British outfit that specializes in customizing certain models from prestige automotive brands such as Aston Martin, Ferrari and Mercedes Benz among others. Now, the folks at Kahn have unveiled their latest transformation, this time taking the Bentley Continental Flying Spur and creating some subtle changes to alter the appearance and driving characteristics of the saloon. In creating the Project Kahn Bentley Continental Flying Spur, preserving and enhancing the elegance of the original model was a top priority. Recognizing that Bentley may just be turning into "the footballers' department at Volkswagen" as they so neatly put it, you won't find any over-the-top spoilers or anything really gaudy that we've so often come to expect from tuners. In fact, according to Project Kahn, the most unique feature of their car is the addition of the new ‘White Mist’ alloy wheel. The 22in wheel features a unique geometrical pattern that seems to suit the Bentley rather well. Apart from this, you won't find any more changes to the exterior save for the lowered and more aggressive stance of the Continental Flying Spur. This is thanks to a Project Kahn electronic lowering module that lowers the suspension by 20mm - although Project Kahn says this figure can be adjusted to specific requirements by customers. On the inside, the vehicle is fitted with Kahn quilted leather that can be had in a number of variations. A custom piano-black fascia trim can also be specified, along with a Project Kahn high-gloss piano black or two-tone leather steering wheel. Pricing is still unannounced, but in the meantime you can check out some previous projects that Kahn has worked on, including this Audi R8 and this Rolls-Royce Drophead Coupe.Project Kahn Bentley Continental Flying Spur Read More

Other upgrades include a complete bespoke interior design service that caters to individual tastes, as well as custom clear side indicators and black piano trim. As for the Phantom’s V12 powertrain, Project Kahn has decided to leave it untouched, claiming that there is "no need to even worry about the engine as it is without a doubt one of the best engines made today”. This is high praise considering that Project Kahn has previously completely reworked engines such as the 3.6L diesel unit found in the Range Rover Sport, and even tinkered under the hood of Ferrari's 599 GTB Fiorano.Project Kahn Rolls Royce Phantom ‘White Pearl’ Read More

  • Project Kahn unveils modified Drophead Coupe

Project Kahn unveils modified Drophead Coupe With such an opulent base as a Rolls Royce to begin with, many modification houses - even Rolls Royce's own Bespoke program - end up with creations so extravagant they are nearly obscene. Project Kahn has dodged that bullet with the Phantom Drophead Coupe, however, keeping to the minimalist styling cues of cars like its previous Bentley Continental GTC Black.

Monochromatic paint jobs mated to aggressive but not precisely garish wheels give the Project Kahn Drophead Coupe unique look without going overboard. Central to the new car's look are the Silver Mist wheels. At 9.5in wide and 22in in diameter, they offer both 'bling' and serious... At 9.5in wide and 22in in diameter, they offer both 'bling' and serious road-holding capability - a must when dealing with a car as large and powerful as the Drophead. To keep the Rolls Royce look about them, however, they are designed to accommodate the original wheels' center caps. Other available custom touches include an interior package featuring a range of materials and finishes including carbon fiber or gloss piano black steering wheels, Elmwood veneer on the dashboard, embossed headrests and lambs wool rugs. Starting price for the Project Kahn Drophead is a considerable £316,000 ($470,000), or about a $50,000 premium over a new example.Project Kahn Rolls Royce Drophead Coupe Read More
