    Infiniti announces pricing for 2009 G37 Sedan and Coupe Infiniti today announced pricing on the 2009 G37 Sedan and G37 Coupe, which go on sale at Infiniti dealers across the United States on the fifth of next month. Both cars receive extensive revisions for the new model year, especially the G37 Sedan which picks up the award-winning 3.7L V6 that debuted in the Coupe last year.

    The price for the 2009 Infiniti G37 Sedan with a seven-speed automatic transmission starts at $33,250. The previous 2008 G35 Sedan with a five-speed auto was listed at $31,600. Pricing for the G37 Coupe, on the other hand, starts at $35,900. The 2008 Coupe was listed from $34,250. Adding the carmaker’s ATESSA E-TS... Adding the carmaker’s ATESSA E-TS intelligent all-wheel drive system for the G37x Coupe bumps the price up to $38,700. The new seven-speed auto features Drive Sport (DS) mode and comes with Adaptive Shift Control (ASC). The 3.7L V6 is rated at 328hp (245kW) and comes with Variable Valve Event and Lift (VVEL) technology. Six-speed manual transmissions are also available. Other changes include newly available sport brakes, a new 18in wheel design and standard Scratch Shield self-healing paint. The 3.7L DOHC V6 is rated at 328hp (245kW) and 270lb-ft (366Nm) of torque with a 7,500 rpm redline, giving it an edge over its predecessor, the 3.5L V6 found in the G35 models.

    The new model also gets an optional seven-speed automatic transmission, and still comes standard with a close-ratio six-speed manual. Other features include a revamped brake system with optional four-piston front... Exterior features include redesigned side mirrors and a new scratch resistant paint formulation. Inside, seat heaters get new switchgear. The remainder of the equipment stays essentially the same, with base, Journey AWD and Sport models available. Four-wheel active steering (4-WAS) is also an option on some models. Three different trim levels are available starting with the base G37, and then followed by the G37 Journey and G37S Sport. An AWD version, in the form of the G37x, is also available.
