
More than half a million units of the Saab 9-5 are estimated to have been built since production started back in 1997
Enlarge PhotoThe last car rolled off the line on Thursday, July 2nd. No official numbers have been released but according to Sweden’s Auto Motor and Sport, more than half a million units of the 9-5, including both the sedan and wagon, have been built since production started back in 1997.
While production may have ended, the car will still be available for sale as current stock should last right up until the arrival of the next-generation model towards the end of the year. As for the new 2010 9-5, the car will be built at the Opel Ruesselsheim plant in Germany in coming months.
