Well, then the Pagani Zonda Cinque is just the ticket. Still not exclusive enough? You need the new Zonda Cinque Roadster. The Pagani road car model range would not be complete without a Roadster version of the Zonda Cinque, and like its Coupe sibling it’s also created in the Modenese Atelier in a limited production run of merely five exclusive pieces. The new Roadster is essentially the same as the Coupe, although the carbon-titanium chassis has been redesigned for the compensation of a missing roof. Despite the modifications, the car tips the scales at just 1,210kg. Whether you opt for a relaxed country drive in Tuscany's hills, visiting Florence and other centers of the Italian Renaissance, or a record hunt at the Nurburgring, this €1.3 million ($1.8 million) jewel will reward with every day driveability and ultimate performance thanks to the different drive modes of the newly developed sequential robostized gearbox and a fully adjustable suspension setup. Powered by a slightly detuned version of the 7.3L V12 engine found in other Zondas that produces 678hp (505kW) and 575lb-ft (780Nm) of torque, the Cinque makes the run from 0-62mph in just 3.4 seconds and has a top speed of over 200mph.   1. It has always seems sort of a slap on the face that upstarts like Pagani would demand this kind of money for a car. Sorry but *exclusivity* is just not enough when you have no heritage.

    $1.8M is the kind of money that would buy you the entire Ferrari lineup. Now give me one good reason why I should instead dump that money on ONE ugly car with a BMW engine?

  2. The Cinque was designed to be a street legal version of the Pagani Zonda R, which is a track-ready and record-smashing vehicle. The Zonda R was build only to compete against the Ferrari FXX, so the Cinque is virtually a drivable version of that, with the V12 AMG 678 bph engine.

Probably, but the Veyron was more than $2M, and they all sold in a blink of an eye.     Horatio Pagani is a truly stunning figure in the world of supercars and what you are paying for is a truly maginificent Mercedes Benz engine (by the way), a car that truly trounces its competitors and the inspiration of one man's childhood hero.

    As for Mr. Pagani, he earned his wings at Lamborghini while coming up with Countach prototypes made out of carbon fiber. Hence all his cars are made with the stuff exclusively

    I'd buy one in a heartbeat as the man and his team just get it,period!!

  4. "Unleash" is the perfect verb for the release of the Cinque Roadster. It never ceases to amaze me how Pagani can continuously make their cars look even more mad, and earn exponential disdain from the frowning supercar giants. Keep it up.

    Look, I'm not saying that this is a bad car (ugly, yes, but that's just my taste). What I'm saying is that it's not worth $1.8M. None of us on this forum are good enough to get near the limit of a Zonda or an Enzo so the minimal performance is not an issue here.

    But Ferrari has a heritage of many decades, many titles and since we're throwing names around Schumacher who has two more world championships than the already super fantastic Fangio.

    Does Pagani command a price of $300K for this car? Yes. Does he command a price that would buy you an Enzo, a Carrera GT and a huge house with a garage to put them both in?

    NO.
