edo Competition unveils custom 500hp Ferrari California

December 31st, 1969 Unless you live in Maranello, it's not every day that you see a Ferrari on the street, much less a heavily tuned and modified one, but the carefully created black-on-black and tan Ferrari California from edo Competition makes us wish it were a more common event. A full 500hp (367kW) and 369lb-ft (500Nm) of torque are on tap from the re-tuned V8. The engine breathes a bit easier than stock as well thanks to a custom exhaust and high-flow catalytic converters. That much power delivers Corvette ZR1-like performance of 196mph (315km/h) top speed and 3.9-second 0-62mph (100km/h) runs. All with Ferrari style and comfort. That's a hard package to argue with. In terms of appearance, edo has left the door wide open for its customers, with this example merely showing off some of what they can do. Unique, one-off or extreme high-end materials and design are available upon request. Custom 20 and 21in wheels are available, as is an adjustable sport suspension and 35mm lowering springs. The program is available now - all you have to do is supply your own Ferrari California and an adequate amount of cash.edo Competition Ferrari California

  1. As I look at the photos all I can think is: Why didnt they use tire dressing?.....

Haha, good call. I thought the exact same thing.

Perhaps the gravel was just too dusty to bother with it.
