The original ERA concept car was unveiled last year to mark the 30th anniversary of the Italian design firm
Enlarge PhotoAs proof of their talents, IDEA designers built the ERA Barchetta from scratch in a period of just 30 days. The vehicle measured 4,300mm in length and was designed with two possible technical layouts in mind: FWD with a transversal four-cylinder engine or (the proper) RWD with a longitudinal V6.
As the Geneva Motor Show approaches, first details about a new ERA concept car from IDEA have surfaced. The design group will show a more evolved version of last year’s ERA concept.
The new design features a pair of gullwing doors, a two-tier trunk, a three-bar grille, and tube-frame chassis. More details should be released at next week’s debut.
