Ferrari plan Rossi test in 2008
December 31st, 1969
Nov.1 (GMM) Valentino Rossi will test Ferrari's formula one car at an Italian circuit before the end of the year, a spokesman for the famous team said at Interlagos on Saturday.
"He's a friend of Ferrari, we are friends of his and it's a nice way to celebrate his world championship and fantastic career," he is quoted as saying by Reuters.
Rossi, the flamboyant Italian MotoGP rider, said recently he wanted to celebrate his sixth title by reprising his Ferrari tests of a few years ago.
The 29-year-old Yamaha rider is no longer considering switching to F1, but he said he has mixed feelings about his flirt with the premier four-wheeled category in 2005 and 2006.
"Regret is not the right word, but I'm a little sorry because I'm still curious to know what I would have done," Rossi recently said.
