December 31st, 1969 Remember the BMW Films collection? They were a collection of short films created by some of the best directors in the world and starring the likes of Clive Owen, Madonna, Gary Oldman, and James Brown. Mercedes did something similar back in 2002 by creating a trailer for a fake film called Lucky Star. The main actor was Benicio Del Toro, but the real star of the film was the SL500. Disappointingly, BMW recently decided not to make a second series of their films, but we think they were an excellent marketing strategy.
