Spy Shots: 2008 Mini Clubman Estate

Spy Shots: 2008 Mini Clubman Estate

December 31st, 1969 Update: New information here. With the success BMW is enjoying with the current Mini it’s only a matter of time until we see the spin-offs of the car based on versions from the 60’s and 70’s. Caught out while testing was a partially disguised long wheel base version, which would be the spiritual successor to the Clubman Estate. Under heavy black tape is a distinct cut line just along the middle of the rear opening. We suspect that this is to allow for a suicide style opening for easier access to the backseat. The new car should make an appearance in 2008, but there’s still no word on which name BMW will adopt. [Source: Edmunds Inside Line]
