Spy shots: 2008 Mercedes SLK facelift
December 31st, 1969
Update: Official photos of the 2008 SLK here.
Snapper Ewans Kelly has photographed the new SLK facelift planned for 2008. The images show some major modifications to the front bumpers, though much of the rest of the car remains the same as the current model. The rear shots show modified exhaust tips, which are now more boxy compared to the current round tips.
It’s expected the new model (internally codenamed R171) will come with a new rear bumper, slightly modified lights, bigger side view mirrors, and an updated interior. The current SLK interior is starting to show its age so the new version will come with new fabric and leather options and steering wheel. More interesting is the possible inclusion of a diesel option, which could do well in Europe.
More images after the jump.
