December 31st, 1969 If you’ve always thought that the idea of buying a Moller Skycar was anything but real, then think again. Up for sale on eBay is the M400X Skycar prototype from Moller, who up until now was selling its vehicles only as a refundable deposit, with no mention of deliveries. The current bid for the prototype is at $1,777,000 with over 6 days to go. It’s estimated that Moller has already invested over $200 million into the project, so this may not be the only Skycar that goes up for sale. Actual specifications put the car at being able to travel up to 375mph thanks to its eight rotary engines and fuel consumption is said to match that of a large family sedan. However, the prototype has only been tested at 40ft in the air and for limited periods. Via : Jalopnik
