Video: New 911 GT3 RS lapping the Weissach track

December 31st, 1969 Porsche has a very interesting video of its latest RS edition of the 997 911 GT3 circling the Weissach circuit. You can watch the video from one of three camera angles, one of the front wheel as it corners, one from a chase car, and the other of the driver, which shows steering inputs as well as gear changes. Another display shows individual G-force readings as the car moves along the track along with its current time and position. You might recall that the GT3 RS is basically a race car built for the road. Despite adding on a new roll bar and wider rear fenders over the regular GT3, the RS edition still manages to drop 44 pounds over the former. Under the hood, the car features the same naturally aspirated 3.6L flat-six that develops 415hp at 7600rpm moving up to the 8400rpm redline. Watch the video over at the Porsche website.
