Kia launches factory backed aftermarket parts
December 31st, 1969
We’ve all seen them before, budget econo cars tricked out in flashy aftermarket accessories that are often worth more than the car itself. The worst offenders are the odd bunch who like to equip their small underpowered hatches with huge exhausts and ridiculous bodykits with go-fast stickers.
Now AutoWeek is reporting that Kia is offering factory backed performance aftermarket parts that can be ordered directly from Kia dealerships, which come with full warranties. The parts will initially be offered for the Kia Rio and Spectra, but will eventually spread to the brand’s entire lineup. The kit includes spoilers, ground-effect kits and doorsill plates for the exterior, while interior features include special gauges, leather shift knobs and sport pedals.
All parts will come with Kia’s 5-year/60,000-mile basic warranty for dealer installed parts with pricing for most packages under $2,000.
