Novitec Rosso aero-package for the Ferrari F430
December 31st, 1969
Ferrari tuner Novitec Rosso has released details about its aerodynamic program for the F430, which through extensive wind-tunnel testing has provided the sporty coupe with even more stability at high speeds. This type of testing is rare amongst aftermarket tuners, but what owners will come away with is nothing short of spectacular.
Development was carried out in Germany's Research Institute for Motor Vehicles in Stuttgart, where driving behavior of the cars can be reproduced at different velocities. The tests of the Novitec Rosso F430 Supersport were performed by a simulated run of 140 km/h. Each part of the Novitec Rosso aero-kit has been tested, and now offers an optimal drag coefficient (Cd) and increased down force.
The new front spoiler brings down force on the front axle to 15.2kg, while Cd has been reduced to 0.37. The complete aerodynamic package, including front bumper, rear diffuser, side skirts plus a rear wing, optimizes the vehicle to the tune of 8.1 kg of negative lift at the front axle and 35.3 kg at the rear axle.
