Mosler delivers first street-legal MT900S
December 31st, 1969
Florida based supercar manufacturer Mosler Automotive has delivered its first street-legal MT900S to a noted Californian film maker. Until now, all versions of the MT900S have been configured and sold for use in motorsport. Left Lane News reports that company founder Warren Mosler stated that the buyer “not only appreciates the MT900's extraordinary design achievements, but he is also attracted to its extreme performance potential."
The mid-engined MT900S runs a Corvette Z06-derived LS6 V8 that develops 435hp, and weighs just 2,500 lbs. The car only reached EPA and CARB certification in June of last year and was finally allowed to be sold in the US.
In April, Car and Driver Magazine took an even more powerful 600hp version for a test drive, which boasted a 0-60mph time of 3.1 seconds. They commented that the car was “violently quick” and had “race-car reflexes.”
