Spy Shots: More of the BMW M3
December 31st, 1969
An almost production ready version of the upcoming M3 coupe was caught recently, and shows us almost completely what the new car will look like. Unlike previous test mules, this one had a factory paint-job, new 18in M-spec alloys and color-coded bumpers. Though disguised under heavy black tape, we can clearly see the shape and size of some of the intakes. The camo gear on the hood is likely to be hiding a power bulge over the powerful 4.0L V8 engine that is rumored to rev to a 9000rpm redline.
The official unveiling of the new M3 coupe, and likely sedan, isn’t due until the second half of next year and is rumored to be during the Paris Motor Show in September. Follow the jump to see all the images over at M3 Post.
