L.A. Auto Show to present 21 world debuts
December 31st, 1969
The L.A. Auto Show is one of our favorite calendar events of the year, and this year’s show is pegged to be the biggest ever with a record 21 world debuts planned. The decision to shift the date back to November instead of January has given organizers as well as the motoring press a buffer between the L.A. Show and the Detroit show early next year, which means that the number of cars planned for L.A. has increased substantially.
Some of the highlights that are expected include the world debuts of the 2008 Aston Martin V8 Vantage roadster, Audi TT roadster, Buick Enclave, Chrysler Sebring convertible, Ford Escape and a number of new concepts.
Other notable mentions include BMW’s Hydrogen 7 sedan, 2008 Ford Escape and Escape Hybrid, three Honda concepts, Hyundai’s HCD-10 Hellion concept, Mazda’s Nagare and Volkswagen new Tiguan sport wagon.
