Details on Porsche's 2008 911 update

Porsche will update its current 911, which has been on the market for four-years now, by 2008. As with any Porsche update, styling changes are expected to be minimal, namely a larger front air intake and redesigned rear lighting.
Enthusiasts will find the biggest changes under the good. The new 911 gets Porsche’s new direct-injection engines, as seen in the recently facelifted Cayenne. Fuel economy improvements of over 10% are claimed by Porsche, and up to 15% in real life. We’ll have to review them to check whether this is true or not. The other big change is the inclusion of a DSG-style dual-clutch gearbox as an option, reports Automotive News. Most of Porsche’s current tiptronic range is much slower than manual, adding around 0.5s to the 0-100km/h time. The only exception to this is the 911 Turbo, where the tiptronic is actually slightly faster than manual. A dual-clutch gearbox will allow auto drivers to get silky smooth gearshifts throughout the rev range.
Most models will also come with a slight power increase in the range of 5-25hp. There are also rumors it may get IR night vision, but this is yet to be confirmed.

The Turbo with Tiptronic is the way to go. The car is so rediculously fast already. The auto allows the turbos to spool up perfectly.
The way to spend your $100K+ is this:
Turbo = automatic
GT3 = manual

This is a very good thing in my opinion. Wonder if this new auto will be across the entire Porsche range, Boxster, Cayman ..............and hopefully more hp for the Cayman now that the Boxster is equal....One more thing.....The Cayman does not have LSD but does the Boxster not have LSD???If so would that not mean the Boxster should handle better? Would like someone to help me with this..........please.
