Fiat planning Bravo station wagon

Fiat planning Bravo station wagon

December 31st, 1969 Fiat will launch a station wagon version of its recently introduced Bravo hatch due halfway through the new car’s life-cycle. It will appear alongside a face-lifted Bravo sometime in 2010, reports Autovisie, while a performance oriented Abarth model to join the Punto and Panda Abarth is also expected to debut at this time. With these new Abarth performance models, Fiat is looking to compete against Volkswagen's popular GTI range as well as Ford's growing ST lineup. Fiat execs claim the wagon version is yet to be confirmed, however, the decision is almost certain as the company wants the new Bravo to be a truly global car. That means it will require various body styles to suit particular markets. The wagon will carry the same range of engines as the hatch, including the turbodiesel 1.9L Multijets, a 1.4L gasoline engine and the new family of turbocharged T-JET petrol engines. Load capacity will be greater than the hatch’s 400L and it will remain a five-seater.
