Video: Supercar run through the hills of Italy
December 31st, 1969
It’s rare to see just a single supercar out on public roads, so imagine what it would be like to witness three of these incredible machines take to the highways for some enthusiastic driving. You’ve gotta love the Italian police force’s attitude towards the exotics.
Note: only the first few seconds of the video is in Italian but the rest is in English and don’t forget to tell us which car you think should come out on top.
Thanks to James for sending in the tip!

I know that the Maserati and the Porsche are the only two that there would be a chance of winning. I might say despite what others might think. I think the Maserati would take it. It is a more of a track car and therefore would be better at handling the hard corners.

Some of the rarified few that have had the pleasure of sampling several supercars have voiced their opinions about which they think is best, and more than once I've heard them I've read that the Carrera GT was the best of the lot. That may not mean it's the absolute fastest, but I just think it's interesting that I've repeatedly come across that opinion on such a limited subject.
This only reinforces the sense that thrashing two of those magnificent cars for the sake of a poorly executed movie is just plain wrong.

MC12 is apparently quicker than an Enzo...and an Enzo is apparently quicker than the GT. So I'd have to say the Maser would take it. McLaren SLR is nowhere near as focused as these two to really stand a chance.
Anyone know the tune thats in the video with about 30 seconds till the finish? It was catchy...

Yea, I would say that the MC12 would probably take it; although I personally would prefer the Carrera GT. As said before by the others, I don't think the SLR really has a chance with the other two; the MC12 and the Carrera GT are simply meant more for this sort of thing. And I agree with Todd in that they shouldn't have destroyed two beautiful "works of art" for a damn movie, especially one that is so sub-par.
