December 31st, 1969 Just ten years ago, Hyundai used to mean cheap and cheerful. Since then, the company has worked hard on building up its brand name. It even has aspirations to ‘do a Toyota’ and introduce a luxury brand. The next step is a production version of the Genesis concept car, which is powered by a V8 engine and is RWD. But that’s not all. According to a senior Hyundai exec, at least three more models are planned using the same platform and drivetrain, one of which could result in a sports coupe model. A RWD V8 powered Korean muscle car? Bring it on.
