Jeep unveils two new concepts for SEMA
December 31st, 1969
Jeep will be displaying two new concept cars at this year’s SEMA Show, the four-door Wrangler Ultimate and the tough-as-nails JT Concept. The Wrangler Ultimate is based on the regular Wrangler Limited model but gets a 3in lift-kit and 35in BF Goodrich Mud Terrain tires wrapped around forged 18in aluminum wheels from Alcoa.
The exterior gets several Mopar sourced accessories, including chrome highlights and a Liquid Charcoal Pearl Coat paint scheme. Inside, the seats get a mesh fabric trim and dark grey Nappa/Province leather with a heavy black leather baseball stitch.
The Jeep JT Concept is a totally different beast, designed to tackle the rough wilderness as seen in the images of it crawling out of a pit at Hell's Revenge trail in Moab, Utah (images after the jump). Like the Wrangler, the JT Concept shares the same platform and features an identical 116in wheelbase.
Unique elements include the five foot long flatbed, removable cabin roof and the 3in suspension lift system from Superlift. Other features include chunky 35in BF Goodrich Mud Terrain rubber, a Ramsey 9500 UT winch and Mopar rear bumper and rock rails.
