Video: Vauxhall VXR8 review
December 31st, 1969
If there’s one thing the Aussies know how to do well, it’s building cheap fast saloon cars. Take the HSV R8, for example, which comes fitted with a 6.0L V8 engine churning out 420hp. The R8 has made the long journey to the UK and emerged as the Vauxhall VXR8 yet lost none of its bite. Find out how it does in this video review by Fifth Gear.

WELCOME HOME, BABY:
WE'LL BE CALLING IT THE PONTIAC G8 IN THE U.S. MARKET, BUT THIS HEAVILY MUSCLED POWER PLAYER IS GOING TO BE WELCOMED HERE WITH OPEN ARMS AND CHECKBOOKS. IN A LAND FULL OF VAST, OPEN SPACES AND PETROL HOVERING IN THE $2.60 TO $3.27 PER U.S. GALLON RANGE, IT SHOULD BE SELLING IN VERY LARGE NUMBERS. LARGE ENOUGH THAT GM WILL LIKELY BE MOVING PRODUCTION TO NORTH AMERICA. I'M DAN SMITH FROM SQUARE-ONE AUTOMOTIVE.
