Lamborghini’s new V8 Gallardo spotted again
December 31st, 1969
Several V8 Gallardo test mules have been spotted over the past month, with this latest prototype photographed at Lamborghini’s Sant'Agata headquarters. Looking almost identical to the current V10 model, the new V8 Gallardo can be differentiated by the unique tailpipes and the distinctly unique engine burble. The most likely power source is VW Group’s 4.2L FSI V8 borrowed from the Audi R8 but with slight modifications to give it a unique sound.
Unlike the current Gallardo, the new model is rumored to feature a RWD configuration, but Lamborghini has said in the past that it considered AWD to be a unique feature of its cars so the baby Gallardo may yet remain AWD. See several more images and a video of the car over at our friends at AutoGespot or see our previous video of it circling the Nurburgring.

First it's "Several V8 Gallardo test mules" then "The most likely power source is VW Group’s 4.2L FSI V8 borrowed from the Audi R8 but with slight modifications to give it a unique sound."
Umm, since you really have no clue unless you went over and counted the cylinders, maybe you should not report it as being a V8 Gallardo? But that wouldn't be any fun would it?

Sure does sound like a V8 to me. Hope they build it, wouldn't mind a cheaper Gallardo.

Wow!Another good looking vehicle from Lamborghini, equipped with quality parts. It has been said that it has exceptional brake system which turns out to boost its high performance. They’ve been using amazing concepts which makes their recent models one of a kind and superior from the rest.
