Official teaser for the 2008 Mazda6
December 31st, 1969
Mazda has released a preview of its upcoming 6 sedan ahead of the car’s world debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show next month. The new midsized sedan continues Mazda’s practice of offering stylish and dynamic models at affordable prices. Though we only get a look at the front of the car, the new model is shaping up to be a genuine Lexus or Infiniti rival in the looks department.
Mechanicals are shared with Ford’s new Mondeo sedan and a new 3.5L V6 will also be available in some markets. The new Mazda6 will also be slightly larger than the model it replaces, promising more room for rear seat passengers. A wider track should also see performance enhanced.
The new model will see a significant leap in quality levels as Mazda engineers are well aware of tough new competition. Also planned for the Frankfurt show will be Opel’s new Vectra sedan as well as the Ford Mondeo.
