Blast from the past: E23 BMW 733i video review
December 31st, 1969
BMW bucked the trend when it introduced the E23 sedan back in 1977, offering a large and sporty sedan in a time when a fuel crisis was causing most manufacturers to downgrade their cars. The guys from Munich would have none of this, instead packing the car with a classic multi-valve straight-six, and eventually adding fuel-injection and turbocharging for high-performance models. Here’s an interesting video produced by Gunnar Heinrich of Automobiles De Luxe that gives a good background of the car and what it’d be like to own one today.
