December 31st, 1969 The Wiesmann GT has been on sale for almost two years now and in that time there have been very little changes to the car’s specifications. The GT has always been powered by a BMW-sourced 4.8L V8 engine but now rumor has it there are plans to launch a model powered by the 5.0L V10 from BMW’s M performance division. We could even see the new super-GT as early as next month’s Frankfurt Motor Show. Weighing just 1,250kg, a Wiesmann GT packing the 507hp (373kW) V10 engine would offer a significant leap in performance when compared with the 362hp (270kW) currently available. Expect performance to better the current car’s 0-100km/h time of 4.6 seconds and top speed of 280km/h. Much of the GT’s internals are already sourced from BMW, although there are some unique elements such as the aluminum suspension and body structure as well as the carbon-fiber panels. If given the green light, we think Wiesmann may just outdo TVR as the maker of the world’s craziest cars.

    I personal introuduce TVR into Taiwan market at 1983. SO think about this Wiesmann, I'm now wondering who, why people buy these vehicles. Since I'm no more young.
