December 31st, 1969 Suzuki has unveiled a new shooting-break concept at the Frankfurt Motor Show, which the carmaker claims will lead to a new D-segment model set to enter production in 2010. The concept is called the Kizashi and if it ever makes it to showrooms it will be Suzuki’s first attempt at developing a more upscale model. Currently, Suzuki’s lineup consists of small budget models and compact SUVs. The new concept measures 4.63m in length and rides on 21in wheels. Despite its larger proportions, it’s powered by an economical 2.0L four-cylinder turbodiesel with drive sent to all four wheels. Suzuki is reportedly developing a new hybrid drivetrain and the production version of the Kizashi is expected to debut the new technology when it arrives at the end of the decade.
