Video: Bugatti Veyron vs E92 BMW M3
December 31st, 1969
In one corner we have a 1001hp (747kW) million dollar exotic and in the other we have a 420hp (312kW) cult hero, the two decking it out in a drag race caught on film. The numbers alone already give away the result but then again there's not much out there that can keep up with the Veyron. After giving the M3 a substantial head-start, the Veyron quickly reels it in before overtaking it and winning the sprint. Head over to AutoJunk to watch the video.

"...manages to outpace the Veyron for a good part of the sprint?" Huh? It looked like the Veyron hardly even moved for a couple seconds so he didn't completely demolish the M3. You know the Veyron could come off the line way quicker than that.

Yeah, I think they agreed to let the M3 have a second or two head start to make it interesting.
It does make the lightning quick M3 look slow, doesn't it?
I wonder what the top end Ariel Atom would do next to the Veyron?

Nice event. Now, call me obssessive if you want but you really can tell how out of place and unnecessary DRLs are when you see them on a Veyron or an F430 like I did the other day. I hope the guy who thought about them is burning in hell...

Hector, use your head a little. Imagine a gray car over the horizon, agains a gray sky during the dusk or dawn.... it is virtually invisible without DRL's.... get a clue.

No I agree, I don't like being "forced" to have my lights on.
And while they may provide more visibility in some situations, so will simply paying attention, which is what we all should be doing while driving...

I have a clue buddy. It's called my left hand turning on the lights by myself. If you don't know where the knob is please consult your owner's manual.
