Spy Shots: 2009 Honda Accord Euro (Acura TSX)

December 31st, 1969 Update: The 2009 Honda Accord Euro (Acura TSX) has been released. Click here for the latest story. A heavily camouflaged prototype has been snapped testing at the Nurburgring and is reported to be the next-gen Honda Accord Euro (Acura TSX) midsize sedan due to hit the market by mid next year. Tell tale signs that this is in fact the next Accord Euro is the shape of the grille aperture on the camo gear, which matches the shape of the grille from the Accord Tourer Concept displayed at the recent Frankfurt Motor Show. According to Honda’s own press release, the face of the Frankfurt concept will be shared with the next-generation model. Other clues given by these new spy shots include the intake shape at the bottom of the front bumper, new headlight design, LED taillights and the squared off quad tailpipes. The engine lineup will include two petrol engines displacing 2.0L and 2.4L and a new clean diesel engine dubbed i-DTEC. The diesel mill will displace 2.2L and feature direct-injection technology, efficient exhaust gas recirculation, and a diesel particulate filter. The final production version of the car is set to be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in March next year.Honda Accord spy

  1. Wow, talk about covered up. Not to be racist, but that car looks like it's wearing the equivilant of a burkha!

  2. Are we sure that, that is indeed the new TSX? Those spy photos look a lot like the spy photos that have been snapped of the upcoming TL replacement. Also judging by the size of the prototype next to the 3-series it looks too big to be a TSX. I think this is the TL and not the TSX sedan.

  3. LOL why is the test-driver a midget ?
car is WAY too big to be TSX, no way
I also think it's the next TL or it's equivalent.

  4. Definately a Honda. The wheels are std Accord item.

Better do some real work with the 2.2L diesel. I'm not satisfied by the current one.

  5. @Orphanos

Sorry, you are not satisfied with Honda´s 2.2 L i-CTDi-Engine which has received the "Engine of the Year Awards 2005" with great economy and power in this class??? Okay !?!

  6. I don't think this is a TL. Acura/Honda would not test a car intended for North American markets in the famous Ring. They would however, test the TSX there because it is pretty much the equivalent of the Euro Accord.
