Nissan Round Box (R.D/B.X)
December 31st, 1969
The Round Box represents Nissan’s take on open-air motoring and is designed as a roadster with seating capacity for four and a removable glass roof. Designers have also added "road surface windows" to give occupants a greater sense of speed. These are basically small glass panels placed close to the ground on both sides of the car, providing passengers with a view of the rapidly passing road surface, without the risk of road contact.
Another innovative feature is the interactive "Play Catch" system, which allows the driver and passengers, including those in the back, to share entertainment and driving information.
Nissan says this concept is aimed at the youth market but there’s been no mention of any production possibility.Nissan Round Box
