New Focus to highlight Ford’s SEMA range

Ford will once again present one of the biggest displays at the upcoming SEMA auto show with no less than 13 vehicles, nine of which will be based on the not so big 2008 Focus. Ford wants to hit home that it’s no longer a manufacturer of just large SUVs and pickups. According to the executive director of its Customer Service division, Al Giombetti, the “small car market is now the largest vehicle segment in the country with more than 2.7 million sales annually.”

Pictured above is the Steeda Autosports Focus, which features a custom cold-air intake and sports exhaust system. There’s also handling pack with Steeda/Eibach coil overs and a Steeda strut tower brace and stay-bars. The bodykit is a 3D Carbon design and the 18in wheels and custom front grille come from Steeda.

Along with the Focus range, Ford will also showcase several vehicles developed with the aid of 3D Carbon and hip-hop legend Funkmaster Flex. These include a full-size Expedition SUV and a F150 pickup that also had some input from hot-rodder Chip Foose. For the performance fans there will be two heavily modded Mustangs as well turbocharged version of the Ford Fusion pumping out 350hp from its V6 and a Lincoln MKZ tuned by H&R.
