Pagani Zonda F sets new 然ing record

December 31st, 1969 Long recognized as one of the holy grails of motorsport, being the fastest around the daunting Nurburgring Nordschleife is not just a claim to fame - it’s a claim to superiority. The Porsche Carrera GT supercar last held the title of fastest production car around the Green Hell, but no longer. The Pagani Zonda F Clubsport has shaved nearly two tenths of a second off the Carrera GT’s time to post a sizzling lap in 7:27:82. It may not sound like much of a margin, but when you’re in the stratosphere, every inch counts. If you’re not familiar with the Zonda (shame on you!) you can catch a video of it here. Comprised of more carbon fiber than just about anything this side of a Formula 1 car, the Zonda F has proven it’s the ultimate race car for the street. Statistics like 1.5G lateral acceleration - thanks to its massive downforce generation, a 7.3L V12, and 2700 man-hours to complete construction help back up that claim. We are of the opinion that the lap time speaks for itself, as do the 20.6km and 73 turns of the North Course. And they’re all saying: The king is dead. Long live the king.
