Tesla Motors names new CEO

Tesla Motors gets a new CEO from December 3 onwards in the form of Silicon Valley pioneer Ze’ev Drori. Back in August Tesla founder and current CEO Martin Eberhard stepped down from the top job in order to concentrate more on technology and development.
Drori started a semiconductor chip manufacture in the late ‘60s and then moved into the automotive industry, starting his own car accessories company in the 1980s, reports Automotive News.
Tesla currently has around 600 orders for its new electric roadster but a change in the supply company for its transmission has pushed back the car’s release date by six months. It’s now expected to be on the road by the middle of next year.
The final production version will start with a base price $98,000 and will be able to accelerate from 0-60mph in a flat four seconds and travel up to 200 miles on a single charge.
